MEMPHIS, Tenn. — There’s a new warning for drivers about an upcoming road closure that’s expected to last more than seven months.
The bridge at Shady Grove Rd. over I-240 will be closed beginning Jan. 15 for repairs. The closure is expected to last until the end of August 2024.
MPD said there are no planned closures for I-240 during this work.
TDOT said detour signs will be in place for drivers to use Yates, Walnut Grove, and Humphrey’s Blvd.
According to TDOT, up to six-weekend lane closures on I-240 at Shady Grove Rd. could happen during this work. During the weekend closures, two of the four lanes would remain open.
