MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – There are ten ideas for the future of Rust Hall and the Brooks Museum ofArt buildings in Overton park.
They include turning the buildings into acreative arts district, expanding the Metal Museum — bringing in some hotelsor creating new public schools. Rust hall will be empty after graduation nextyear. The Memphis Museum of Art building will also be empty in 2024 when itmoves into a new building downtown.
Mayor Jim Strickland will make a recommendationand then present his choices to the city council for final approval.
