MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County Grand Jury will take up the cases against an 18-year-old will who police said admitted to committing various burglaries spanning about a year and a half, according to court records.

While several charges were dismissed in a court hearing March 1, 2024, against Tedric Parson, he still faces several charges including theft, auto burglary, vandalisms, and intentionally evading arrest in a vehicle. He was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 20. Two juveniles were also detained.

Parson's bond has been set at $150,000 in one case and no bond was set in another.

According to an affidavit, Parson was allegedly involved in burglarizing an AT&T store in the 4800 block of Summer Avenue, where a vehicle smashed into the building and $5,000 worth of merchandise was stolen on Dec. 18, 2023.

On the same day, Parson was also involved in targeting a Boost Mobile store in the 300 block of North Cleveland Street, where thieves used a vehicle to crash into the store and steal $2,000 worth of items, though Parson told investigators he was unable to take any merchandise and others rammed the vehicle into the store, the affidavit said.

On Dec. 15, authorities said Parson was involved in burglarizing a Metro by T-Mobile store in the 3500 block of Ramill Road, where thieves stole $100 and damaged the store.

On June 24, 2022, authorities said Parson stole $240 from a Metro PCS store in the 4200 block of Summer Avenue. He damaged the building as well, they said.

On May 21, 2022, authorities said Parson stole $30,000 worth of merchandise from a City Gear store in the 4000 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard.

According to the affidavit, Parson is also accused of stealing multiple vehicles.

Parson waived his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak with investigators, admitting to being involved in the crimes listed above and stealing multiple vehicles, the affidavit said.
