Arkansas murder suspect captured in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities captured a Memphis woman wanted for a 2022 deadly shooting inside a nightclub in Arkansas.

U.S. Marshals and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office caught 31-year-old Mircale Bills on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The shooting happened April 17, 2022, at the 50/50 Club in Forrest City. Police officers found a woman who had been shot after a fight with Bills. She was rushed to a hospital, but later died. A warrant for first-degree murder and aggravated assault was issued for Bills on Dec. 8, 2023.

U.S. Marshals discovered Bills lived in Memphis on Jan. 5, 2024. 

On Feb. 28, 2024, authorities went to a business in the 1900 block of Covington Pike in Memphis, where investigators found Bills outside. She surrendered without any incidents, and authorities took her to the Shelby County Jail.

Bills is now waiting to be extradited to Arkansas.
