MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead, and another person is hurt after a gas station shooting happened late Thursday night near the Memphis airport area.
The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting May 23, 2024, around 11:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of Lamar Avenue, where officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead.
Investigators said another person arrived at St. Francis Hospital in a private vehicle. The person's condition is non-critical.
One person was placed in custody, according to police.
