MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating after a person was shot Friday afternoon near Soulsville in South Memphis.
MPD said officers responded to a shooting call about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, in the 700 block of Edith Ave. near Mississippi Blvd. They found one person shot, and they were taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
Investigators have not said what led to the shooting. They said a male suspect in a red hoodie ran away from the scene through an alley.
