1 critically injured, another in custody after gas station shooting in southeast Memphis

Memphis Police responded to the shooting Wednesday, April 24, around 12:30 a.m. in the area of E. Shelby Drive and Riverdale Road at the Shell gas station.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in critical condition after a gas station shooting happened Wednesday in southeast Memphis.

The Memphis Police Department responded to the shooting April 24 around 12:30 a.m. in the area of E. Shelby Drive and Riverdale Road at the Shell gas station, where officers found a man injured.

He was taken to Regional One Health in critical condition.

Investigators said one person is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
