Sumner, Tennessee Escapee back in custody after TBI offered $2,500 for information leading to his arrest

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities in Tennessee were offering $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of a 41-year-old man they said escaped prison. He has since been returned to custory, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

A "Tennessee Most Wanted Alert" has been issued for William Henry Rutherford, according to the TBI.

On Saturday, the TBI said Rutherford was wanted by the Sumner County Sheriff.

The TBI said he has black hair, brown eyes and weighs about 145 pounds. They said he stands at about 5 feet and 7 inches.
