The controversial de-annexation bill is up for discussion again today in Nashville.
This bill could allow small communities in Memphis to break out from the city and revert back to county property.
Right now, state senators are hearing from those who support de-annexation.
A move Memphis mayor Jim Strickland said could cost the city millions in dollars.
Local 24’s Brad Broders will be in Nashville following the committee meeting.
