Former mayor Jim Strickland becomes finalist for Dean of University of Memphis Law School

As part of the process, Strickland will be interviewed by school alumni.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Former Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland could become the next dean of the University of Memphis Law School, according to an email from the law school's alumni. 

The school is searching for its next dean, and Strickland is a finalist for the position. The former mayor is a graduate of the University of Memphis Law School and has worked as an adjunct professor for the university. 

As part of the process, Strickland will be interviewed by school alumni.
