A Memphis bar has found their missing furry friend — one that employees reportedly hadn't seen since the snowstorm that covered the city in January.

Members of the Hi Tone Café went so far as to post flyers seeking the return of their beloved "Trash Cat" — an animal that was originally found by the trash bins outside the local venue in May 2020 and taken in by the bar.

On Sunday, Feb. 18, the bar posted on the "trash_cat901" official instagram page that the cat had been found.

"After 33 days and nights of worry and anticipation, I've finally been rescued from the nightmarish streets of freaking Collierville. Big shout out to Mary for spotting the post! I'm so happy to be home," the post read.

Trash Cat is black and white with a small chip on her left ear. Before she was found, the Hi Tone was asking that she be returned to 282 North Cleveland Street or that people call (901) 406 6024 with information.

The Hi Tone's owner, Brian "Skinny" McCabe, looked back at how members of the bar first met Trash Cat.

"We found her shortly after we moved into the new building — scared and just hanging out by the dumpster," McCabe said. "We started feeding her, and she would get closer until she finally decided to make herself at home."

It wasn't long before the Hi Tone started printing T-shirts featuring their new friendly mascot with "Hi Tone Trash Cat" printed alongside. Proceeds for these merch items go to her medical bills, McCabe said. He also joked that these proceeds go to her "college fund."

Memphis musicians who play frequently at the Hi Tone said they have fond memories of Trash Cat over the years. For instance, Jeff Pruitt said that Trash Cat loves "being cozy in jackets":
