MEMPHIS, Tenn — UPDATE 10/22/2020 - Memphis Police say the pedestrian killed has been identified as 61-year-old Destin Smith.
They have not said if the driver will face any charges.

10/21/2020 - Memphis police officers are on I-40 going westbound between Whitten and Germantown Road where someone was hit and killed late Wednesday evening.
The driver of the car went to the Appling Farms police station and told officers that she thought she hit someone while driving.
This is an ongoing investigation.
