U.S. Marshals capture suspect who allegedly kidnapped woman in Memphis

A week after a woman was allegedly kidnapped, the suspect has been found by U.S. Marshals.

MEMPHIS, Tenn — The U.S. Marshals Service announced Monday, May 6, that they captured 32-year-old Joseph Brown for charges of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault.

On April 27, Brown was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with a woman. Memphis police responded to a call at the 3400 block of Grey Bark Drive reporting an abduction. A witness who was on the phone with the victim heard her shouting in distress before the call abruptly ended. The woman was missing for most of the day but was found unharmed later that evening. Warrants were promptly issued for Brown's arrest, according to the U.S. Marshal's Service.
