One person is dead, and four others are in the hospital after a crash involving one vehicle took place in North Shelby County, according to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).
Three of those injured are teenagers, according to the SCSO.
SCSO deputies said they responded toward midnight before Sunday morning off River Road near the Shelby Forest boat ramp. A vehicle struck a tree in this area, they said.
One adult was reportedly found to be dead when officers said they made the scene. Two teenagers were transported to Le Bonheur by Shelby County Fire and one was transported there in non-critical, according to the SCSO.
One additional adult was transported to Regional One in critical condition, they said.
Police said that this accident is an ongoing investigation.
